Brands

Brands we work with...

Here at Pig's Ears we work with some of the best brands in the UK.

Over the years we have built strong relationships with breweries, distilleries and independent producers who consistently produce excellent, exciting and elegant drinks. We are delighted to have one of the most diverse and respected portfolios in the United Kingdom.

Below are just SOME of the brands we love working with....

Verdant Brewing Co

Cornwall, UK

Verdant Brewing Co is the result of 3 mens needs to be drinking the beers they like.

Adam & James started out as homebrewers and they decided that they wanted access to more hop forward beers, than they could get in any of their locals. So they started brewing in a shipping container in the Autumn of 2014, they now have their very own building and an additional brewer in Rich, a brewing capacity of 10bbl, with the ability to brew 3 times a week. This is small batch beer.

Think juicy, hoppy, unfiltered hazy beers. Fizzy and cold.

Deya

Cirencester, UK.

DEYA are currently focused on producing our flagship American Pale Ale, Steady Rolling Man 5.2% and serving it on draught.

For them it’s all about creating and sharing incredible beer which is fresh, flavourful and delicious.
As a brewery they love brewing hoppy beers, taking great influence from the American craft brewing scene.

Fresh hoppy beers that are well made are an absolute delight in their eyes and they believe it is still difficult to find top-notch hop forward beers. (This is of course changing). They have a deep interest and affection for most styles and look forward to showcasing a range of styles, processes and ingredients at DEYA brewing company as they grow..

It’s all about creating amazing beer...

THE KERNEL

The brewery springs from the need to have more good beer. Beer deserving of a certain attention. Beer that forces you to confront and consider what you are drinking. Upfront hops, lingering bitternesses, warming alcohols, bodies of malt. Lengths and depths of flavour. We make Pale Ales, India Pale Ales and old school London Porters and Stouts towards these ends. Bottled alive, to give them time to grow.

WEDS DOMAINE

England, UK

Many moons ago, alcohol free was a dirty phrase. If you were choosing not to drink, your options were limited and you probably felt slightly out of the loop. Not another lime and soda, you would silently lament as you made your way back to the bar whilst your friends were still enjoying their first round.

Thankfully, times are changing. Alcohol free options have exploded in recent years with alcohol free beers and spirits leading the way, showing us all that you can still have a lovely experience and mouthfuls of flavour without the alcohol or the fuzzy head the next day.

Well, now it’s the turn of wine. Whether you’re meeting a friend after work, settling onto the sofa after the kids have gone to bed or just looking for something different, Wednesday’s Domaine and our two alcohol free wines may well have the answer…

Pressure Drop

Tottenham, North London

In the Summer of 2012 inspired by the likes of The Kernel, Redemption, Buxton Brewery and Magic Rock Pressure Drop started brewing, on a 50 litre pilot kit, in Graham’s garden shed with the intention of starting our own brewery. At that time they had very little idea of what that would entail so we wanted to start small and build from there. They brewed a lot with mixed results, and through continual trial and occasional error we began to build a solid core of recipes.

In 2017 they realised a long standing plan to expand both their brewery and the Pressure Drop team. They’ve built a custom 20BBL facility in Tottenham, joining the likes of Beavertown, One Mile End and Redemption who all operate close by.

All of the beers the brewery produces are designed to delight the senses and enthral the drinker. All are intended to be enjoyed as a lovingly hand made product, nurtured by a small team of dedicated beer lovers.

Wiper and True

Bristol, UK

Wiper & True fell in love with brewing at home - learning their craft on a kitchen stove with pots, pans and raw ingredients scattered all around them.

As they tinkered, trifled and tweaked recipes, they studied the ancient art of their vocation. Meanwhile, they were lucky enough to get first hand experience at some great breweries and more importantly, from some great brewers.

Whilst paying respect to the traditional craft of beer making, their inclination from those early days has always been to experiment and to play. Whether that’s roasting their own malts, adding wild ingredients such as blackberries and chillies, or ageing their beer on different kinds of wood, their aim is to create something truly special.

Wiper and True. No ordinary beer.

The beer which we entered won and gave us the encouragement we needed to give brewing a go for real.

Bristol Beer Factory

Bristol, UK

Bristol Beer Factory started life in 2004 brewing just a few standard cask conditioned ales in a vibrant part of south Bristol. They soon realised that there is so much more to brewing and so many more styles of beer that they wanted to try that their range has now developed into over 8 different regular bottled ales, 7 regular cask ales and up to 5 specials throughout the year. Bristol Beer Factory are not afraid to try anything and the company has a firm belief that all the great ideas are already within the 4 walls of the brewery – it’s just a matter of extracting them out of the team within. Or you can just nick them from others – we're not afraid to admit that either!

So it really is all about the beer. They love what they do, they love to drink it and they love to experiment. Bristol Beer Factory are proud to be part of the current 'Craft beer revolution' and plan to do their utmost to persuade, convince and just simply tell everyone they meet what they should be drinking.

Salopian

Shrewsbury, UK

Salopian Brewery was founded as Snowdonia Brewery in 1994 by Brewer Martin Barry at his Pub in North Wales.  In 1995 he relocated  to Shrewsbury and renamed it Salopian (meaning of Shrewsbury). At that time it was the smallest commercial brewery in the country (not attached to a Pub) with a 2 barrel brewlength.

In 2008 Jake Douglas was recruited as our first salesman, and after a short period he began to influence the production of the brewery as well. A change was made from the traditional  to a more modern hop led style. This transition has proved  very successful, with sales nearly trebling since 2008 and recognition of the brewery’s prowess at every level of competition. A new 30 barrel brewery was installed in 2010 to cope with demand and when this was overwhelmed the brewery relocated in 2014 to a purpose built 50 barrel plant.

Moor Beer

Bristol, UK

Moor Beer was reborn in 2007 when Californian Justin Hawke purchased the defunct business and created what has become one of the world’s top rated breweries. Named from the Levels and Moors area of Somerset where the brewery originated, Moor Beer moved to central Bristol behind Temple Meads Rail Station in 2014 where it now showcases a Tap Room, shop and tours.

Their inspiration comes from living around the world and working with different beer styles and techniques. They take the German, naturally hazy philosophy, combine it with the American flavour-forward approach to brewing and the British secondary refermentation tradition to create what they call Modern Real Ale.

Beer is about flavour, drinkability and enjoyment. Stemming from their California roots, Moor's beers are full flavoured, frequently hop-forward, but always balanced and drinkable. This comes from their use of British floor malted barley from one of the last remaining floor maltings in the UK, Tucker's Malthings of Devon, their use of select hops from around the world and a laser focus on quality at their in-house laboratory.

Gun Brewery

West Sussex, UK

Brewing at Gun Hill on a beautiful 140 acre organic mixed farm in the Sussex Weald. The farm has a history of hop growing and some survive to this day in the hedgerows. It’s a lovely place to be and a lovely place to brew.

Gun spent a year refitting the barn, and installing all the equipment themselves, before selling their first pint in January 2015. In making their beer they aim to tread lightly on their surroundings. They generate much of their own power from a 15kw solar array; heating from a wood powered boiler and their spent grains keep the local livestock happy.

All the water used for brewing comes from their own spring source deep below the organically farmed land. The water is microfiltered and UV treated to ensure its purity without the need for chemicals. It’s delicious and great for brewing.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, the birthplace of gin, Double Dutch founders Joyce and Raissa grew up alongside a lively, innovative, and ever-changing world of drinks. After finding that most mixers lacked the vibrancy of the spirits they were paired with, as uni students, they developed our now signature flavours - Cucumber & Watermelon and Pomegranate & Basil - and began taking them to every party as their flavourful plus ones.

Their mixers, with their bold flavour combinations, had amazing feedback, and they were soon dubbed the ‘Tonic Twins’. Their joint (of course) Entrepreneurship Masters’ thesis came top in the year and became our eventual business plan; winning seed funding to bring our idea to life. And so, Double Dutch was born - a brand that exists to double the energy, double the impact… and double the fun.
